Facts, ideas and opinions flow in all directions and the teacher is becoming more of a tutor, a facilitator and a guide than a subject expert. Does the 21st century teacher know this already? The practical challenges that tecahers face can change on a daily basis so there is no clear certainty as to what skills and capacities he/she should have in the near future. This changes the nature of teaching and training and results in conventional educational models and technologies to be inadequate to respond to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
